Went to check on a wiki on my phone and was greeted with this malarkey. A video autoplayed to generate YouTube views which meant I got an autoplay ad the second it loaded. I also got a bottom banner and between the two of them, I estimate a maximum of 40% of the screen real estate was for content. I don’t even know what can be done about this, but it’s getting harder and harder to browse sites like Wikia on mobile.
Am I the only one whose noticed how bad some sites have gotten about mobile ads like this? And keep in mind, I'm talking about ads that stay that way despite scrolling past them. I have scrolled down on that page so those ads have anchored themselves there and I just get a tank slit with which to view things through....
